immediate post-2009 movie, limping back to Earth

I was wondering if there were more fics that covered the period immediately after the Nerada was eaten by a black hole. How did Star Fleet Command react, the other characters, the crew, the public? What happened in the gap between defeating Nero and getting Kirk being commissioned as the Captain of the Enterprise?

I have read the epic WIP Atlas, which covers the gap beautifully in the 'Discovering Atlas' parts. I'm hoping for other stories that do similarly. I read gen, het or slash (any pairing!) -- can anyone hook a girl up?

I adore Anne Higgins' "Bring It On" series. "No-Win Scenario" is the first in the series and it's set almost entirely at the academy right after they get back to Earth. How Kirk became captain is the biggest chunk of it.
