I'm not sure if this is the one you want, but anne_higgins has a fic MPreg Population Explosion" (http://anne-higgins.livejournal.com/8463.html) that has Kirk giving birth, but it isn't a battle exactly, just a shipwide crisis. The pairings are Kirk/McCoy, Uhura/Spock, Chekov/Sulu, and Scotty/Gaila, and each "couple" is expecting a baby (hence the explosion part of the name). There is an "aliens made them do it" factor to the whole thing though, just as a warning, though it isn't graphic.
