Spock's mother alive?

Hello, Are there any stories where Spock's mother isn't killed in the STR universe or maybe she was but she was brought back later somehow? Hey people come back from the dead all time in canon stargate, star trek series and other science fiction what with saved transporter/stargate patterns and such. Who knows what Scotty can do while he's 'fixing' the ships systems. Thank you.

Need Help Finding a Kirk/McCoy Fic

During one of their conversations, Bones mentions that Jim doesn't have a type, he just likes everyone. Jim realizes that he doesn't really know what his type is so he starts trying to figure it out. He narrows it down little by little. Brown hair, then a certain eye color, then the length of the hair, then guys until he finally realizes that Bones is exactly his type.

I know this is not Kirk's Type by aweland, but I can't remember what the actual title is.

Please help!
