I can't seem to find this reboot fic
AND IT'S MAKING ME CRAZY.
I've somehow misplaced it because it's not in my bookmarks anymore :/ So, it's a K/S fic, and I have a hunch it wasn't just a oneshot, but a longer piece. There was this one scene where Spock, Jim and some other people are on surface of a planet (Vulcan?) and Jim pisses the bad guy off on purpose, because he knows the guy has his phaser and it's on stun, not kill. When he comes to and some other shit goes down Spock bitches at him because a close range shot to the head (the bad guy had been holding the phaser to Jim's temple when he fired) even if on stun, could kill. I remember vaguely that there was somekind of trouble in the Vulcan colony (some stuff or grain had gone missing?) and they suspected that someone, a Vulcan, was behind it and in the end it was true.
that's all I can remember. Hope somebody can help me to locate this fic I've love to read it again : )

It's a scene from Evolution by rhaegal (http://rhaegal.dreamwidth.org/tag/fic:evolution), though for the life of me I couldn't tell you which chapter it is.
The scene happens because Stonn and a few other Vulcans go renegade in their grief and make unreasonable demands from the Council.
