Vague fic search is vague

Hey guys,

I'm looking for this story and pray you can help me, because what I remember is super vague (at least in my head).

Firstly I have no idea whether this is TOS or Reboot, but it should be K/S (...probably).
The Enterprise send a team to a new planet, Spock and Kirk are with them. Now what I think I remember is, that there where these sentient stones/christals that where telepatic and lived in groups. They were really angry and hurt Kirk (or it might have been Spock, I just can't remember) because they think he's responsible for a recent attack on there planet where many of there kind where destroyed/killed. When Spock questions them why they would hurt Jim, they tell him there was a human (?) there before who told them the destruction was Jim's fault? Maybe?

I hope this rings a bell with someone who has a better memory than me. I'd be grateful if someone could send me in the right direction here.

It does ring a bell for me. I know for sure that this is an XI story, and that their telepathic attack almost kills Spock, forcing him to bond to Kirk to survive. Let me see if I can find you the link or at least the name.

I think you are talking about this fic:

Found it. But it looks like everyone else too. :)

Because yes, it is Atlas (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5344838/1). The cliffhanger of Chapter 21 (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5344838/21) to be precise:

No! Spock screamed, racing after the last fading echo of Jim's lifeforce. It slid through his fingers even as the body of his only, perfect fit stuttered and strained and then grew still. Jim Jim Jim, Spock's mind wailed, twisting useless seeking circles in the empty mindscape, trying to fill it with his own memories and fear and love. T'hy'la Jim don't go Captain stay Jim Jim no

And No! the Other echoed, horrified realization ringing across the vast darkness. Oh no, no! Trickery! What have we done?

Jim Jim Jim, Spock begged, frantic and lost. Jim Jim Jim

There was nothing.

Jim Jim Jim.

There was nothing.

Jim.

But there was nothing.

What have we done?
