kirk with vulcan child

I am trying to find the story (star trek 2009 au) where kirk has a half human/half vulcan child that is his. He was involved with a Vulcan female, but she died in childbirth. I think he ends up involved with Spock at the end.

Are there any fics where Kirk is an empath or touch telepath? I know I've read a few like that, but I can't remember much else about it. Any length or pairings work. I don't even care if it's tos or reboot.
