Jim and Gaila Friends

I'm trying to remember a post-Reboot fic that has Jim blowing up at Uhura with the statement that he and Gaila were friends. Or the line may have been that 'he cared about her.' Either way, it's one of those 'self-righteous Uhura confronted by poor, misunderstood Jim' scenes. I believe the story is one that starts where the movie ends but all I can remember is that one bit. I think the confrontation takes place in the mess hall or a cafeteria.

The main fic is most likely kirk/spock as I was reading a ton of that at the time.

Any help would be deeply appreciated. Sorry that there is so little to go on!
