Jim kirk rescues Vulcan child

Could someone find this fic for me?

I remember points about this story:
1) Vulcan trying to find a new place to situate their colony, and they need to share the planet with another group of people who are artists and are emotional.
2) The planet's children are kidnapped, and Jim goes to rescue them, and discovers a Vulcan child
3) Vulcan child is attached to Jim, and gets jealous if Jim's attention is on someone else
4) Jim helps Vulcan child to deal with his grief

I believe it's Atlas (http://archiveofourown.org/works/652116/chapters/1187249) by DistractedKat. The part you referenced is in Chapter 6 & 7 of Discovering Atlas.

Hi yes, I've been looking for a story like that as well but do you know of any other stories than this one? The one I remember reading I think was a one shot and just centered on the vulcan kid and Jim and then the aftermath. The same concept though.

OH WOW, THESE ARE FANTASTIC!! Thanks so much for them!! I'm so sorry to keep asking but these aren't the story I'm looking for.... What I remember was that the Vulcan child actually forced a mind meld onto Jim and then Spock saw this and became kind of possessive over Jim and told the Vulcan Kid to back off.. Thank you so much for those other fics though, they're amazing!

Hi I'm looking for a one shot where Jim kirk finds a Vulcan child on tarsus IV and raises him while he is at Starfleet academy and enlists the help of Spock to teach him how to be a Vulcan
