Kirk and his crew

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for fic that shows the relationship between Kirk and the crew of the Enterprize (not jsut the bridge crew, though that is fine too) especially if it shows how they respect and care for their Captain. Any pairing, gen, het or slash, set after the the 2009 movie of Into Darkness. Reboot only, please.

Thank you!

The first thing that comes to mind for this is the Illogical series by Waldorph. Find it here (http://archiveofourown.org/series/635). The first several chapters are very Jim and Spock-focused (and their families), but later in the series there is absolutely tremendous character development of all the bridge crew and their interactions. It's a must-read.

Another that springs to mind is the Grischca series by [livejournal.com profile] mcstories; here's a link to the tag for it (http://mcstories.livejournal.com/tag/series%3A%20grischa) on LJ. It's the most brilliant pairing idea ever (Cupcake/Chekov, whuuut?), and it provides a fascinating outsider's POV of the bridge crew from Cupcake's standpoint. ETA: Also, given your request, these stories really also show how much Kirk cares for his crew in really very touching ways (plus Cupcake and Chekov are freaking adorbs).

I don't know of many non-bridge-crew ones, but from a Bridge Crew perspective, A little knowledge is a dangerous thing (http://archiveofourown.org/works/762323) was a lot of fun, and the series In Which the Enterprise is Like a Village (http://archiveofourown.org/series/3521) is also entertaining. Sometimes 'Village' is a little Kirk derisive but usually only in good humor.

Highly recommend Measure of Men (http://archiveofourown.org/works/208950).
