startrekficfinder | Kirk!centric H/C fics with Bones as the comforter? Also McKirk fics with bottom!Kirk

Hello guys!
So recently I've read some fics with, basically this jim-hurts-and-bones-comforts theme, like Perfect Strangers, Recovery, Leonard H. McCoy's Guide to Keeping a Friend, Twenty-six and Legend, etc, etc, and I just love those stories!!!! And now I'm craaaaaaving for more!
So can you rec me more fics like that? they just need to be/have:
1) Jim!centric, cuz otherwise I won't be able to finish the story... what can I say, I love that kid captain.
2) Hurt!Kirk, either mentally or physically... well or both (yummy!); sickness, injuries, tarsus iv, whatever.
3) Bones! Bones is the best! I wanna bones as the comforter, or as one of the comforters. Overprotective!Bones would be great!
Bonus if it's Acedemic era and bones trying to get close with that stupid blond kid who obviously hides some damage from past behind his smirks. Geez I love chiches. Cheers!
I prefer gen or pre-slash fics but slash also will do (bottom!Jim only please!).
Oh, and I've read most fics of shoreleave and mijan. They're great!

Also any good McKirk fic with kick as the bottom please? After reading quite some Jim!centric h/c fics on FF I then searched Kirk/McCoy fics on AO3 but came across lots of bottom!bones fic and I just... I can't _(:з」∠)_
I know there're fics like Switch and Firefighter(?) and I know they are great fics,too; but they all seemed a little bit McCoy!centric to me (and I think they also have top!Kirk? at least some switching) So every time I see people rec those fics I feel this agony... I have same problem with some great epic Sprik fics, too. I know it's stupid but really can't help it!

So please just rec me some goodies!!! I do hope they exist...? Thanks in advance!

:D omg, I'm so tracking this thread ! Unfortunately, I'm also quite new to McKirk and I have very few. I'm quite picky but I do love the McKirk h/c trope, especially stories with Bones being overly protective with his Captain. And I do prefer Kirkcentric stories too!

GEN!

For Gen! McKirk, my most favorite stories are from Beamirang (https://www.fanfiction.net/u/2954354/beamirang). Her stories are mostly connected, follow a chronological pattern and have a very (un)healthy dose of Bones/Kirk friendship. This is the most I've seen of Bones being overprotective and all over Jim (and it's just friendship & brotherhood I tell you. You can start from the Academy era, "Free Radicals" (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10087544/1/Free-Radicals) or from Genesis (AOS 2009). The latter is complete as well as most of the succeeding stories.

Another favorite is from FyreFlyte's "What we Lose is part of us" (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9308771/1/What-We-Lose-is-part-of-us). Bones!centric in the beginning but it'll be mostly Jim!centric from the middle and to the end. A lot of friendship and angsting. Mostly revolves about the guilt of survival and new chances.

SLASH (mostly oneshots)

I love, love, love skyblue_reverie's stories (http://skyblue-reverie.livejournal.com/). My most favorite of her is "In Too Deep" (
http://skyblue-reverie.livejournal.com/28076.html) which features an insecure!Kirk. There's a bit of misunderstanding and angsting, and of course a McKirk gem "The Best of all Possible Worlds" (http://skyblue-reverie.livejournal.com/49771.html). Most of her Jim/Bones stories feature a bottom!Kirk, if I remember correctly. But all her stories are just beautiful.

"A Kiss between Friends" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/109018) by DB2020 is very nice too. Will show a slightly jealous! & protective!Kirk this time around, but really worth a read! If you're into pining!Jim, you could also try "Lift the Veil" by YanzaDracan (http://archiveofourown.org/works/1185296).

"Not on my Watch" by Ceres Libera (http://archiveofourown.org/works/307321), though Bones!centric is a personal favorite.

My, I love Beamirang's fics too!!! I even wouldn't dare read too fast for fear that I'll fun out of those amazing stories.

I'm mightily disappointed that there are no other recs for this! I love the thread so much because it has all the guilty pleasures in my head. I really have very few, sorry:

(Slash) Not really Kirk POV all thoughout, but I did like D8rkmessngr's (http://d8rkmessngr.livejournal.com/) slash fics. I particularly like "the sentinel weeps" (http://d8rkmessngr.livejournal.com/69881.html?format=light), and in a slightly similar tone, "deja vu" (http://d8rkmessngr.livejournal.com/65817.html).

(Gen) This one's a bit like "what we lose" by Fyreflyte and I'm not sure if this has even been rec'ed, but I quite liked angsting and brotherhood/ friendship in "selling the farm" by Evenstar656 (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9787914/1/Selling-the-Farm). Mostly Kirk POV.

(Gen / Slash) You may also want to try this story by blcwriter: http://blcwriter.livejournal.com/3970.html. Hope you don't mind but this is a Spock POV this time. I guess I just love it when there are other crew members who take notes of Bones' protectiveness towards Kirk.

Yeah, I know, I mean it's unlikely just two of us like this kind of stuff right? Otherwise there won't be so many wonderful stories!!!
