looking for spock/uhura fic

Fic 1: I'm looking for a Spock/Uhura fic where the cadets go on assignment in some Terlmum (sp?) V filled cave. There is a bird named Niko and Uhura is dating this guy whose with them. Spock who is going into pon farr beats the crap out of the guy due to jealousy. I don't want to give away the rest. S/U don't have an established relationship in this fic.

Fic 2: S/U before established relationship. They do things like go to plays, musicals and Uhura keeps saying they are just friends. There is this one part where they are on a train and their hands on the rail are so close that their pinkies are touching.
