Spock's too good?

I was just reading Within Reach by littlebirdtold, where Spock dies in a transporter accident (it has a happy ending though). But while he's dead, Sulu has to be First Officer and Jim keeps thinking Sulu is being an idiot and really slow. He doesn't realize it until Spock reminds him that he is Vulcan and that normal tasks for him are insanely complicated for other people. So my request is for any fics where, for some reason, Jim has to deal with someone else as first officer, or second in command, for a while, and he can't understand why they are incompetent, or slow. Or he just seems really demanding because he is used to Vulcans' amazing ability to multitask. Anything like that out there?
