Kirk/Spock academy fic

Hi guys!

I know I've been posting quite a lot lately, and I've almost found all of my lost links (stupid crashed computer).

I am looking for an academy fic.  It is Kirk/Spock.  Kirk bets Bones some Saurian Brandy that he can go a certain amount of time (several weeks) without sex.  Then he meets Spock, and they hit it off. They become friends. Then they become more.  There is some Christmas shopping sometime in there. In the end, Kirk and Spock end up together.   And it turns out that Spock owed Bones some Saurian brandy for helping them get together.   Or something like that. 

I know the author is amazing and has several other stories that I like, so if I can find this one, that would be fantastic.

ActionThriller Krik/Spock

Hi everyone! I've been looking for this story for weeks now and I simply cannot remember where I read it. 

In any case, here is what I do remember: 

Its Academy Era, reboot verse, after Nero and the Nardara (I think so anyway)

Spock, who is not so sure that Kirk is ready to be captain, is convinced by Pike to shadow Kirk and make his own conclusions. He does so, but Kirk proves hard to find at first. Because has taken over teaching classes, doing things in labs, helping with computer problems (pretty much any and everything he can help with because the academy lost so many people.) There is a scene where Spock sort of follows Kirk, only to find that Archer is using the excuse of beagle training to get Kirk to take a breather. 

It also turns out that Kirk is black ops, and there is an evil bitch admiral who pulls the strings but uses pretty much does her best to kill Kirk with crazy missions (but Kirk is too much of a bamf to die) and his armor is always attached to him by needles in his skin. 

There is this grand allusion to a chess match, Kirk is trying to take the bitch admiral down because she is bad ju ju, and she snatches him off the Enterprise, Spock must rescue him.

So, yeah, its a long fic. But if anyone could help, I would be forever grateful!
