Pre-Movie, Academy fic

I had thought I had bookmarked this fic. I probably did, just forgot the name. I read a lot of fics in many fandoms; so, it wouldn't be a surprise if I did forget the name.

Anyways, here I go. I think it took place when Jim was in the Academy. It is possible that Jim wasn't in the Academy. I think he may have been working at a bar. Spock was a professor and had placed a math algorithm/theory/problem/equation (whatever you want to call it on the board). Jim works on it. Spock sees Jim's work and starts to hunt him down. It takes Spock awhile to find Jim. I can't remember if the fic was Gen., Het., or Slash. It may or may not have been Kirk/Spock pairing.

I may have gotten it a little jumbled up. That's all I can remember at the moment.
