angst fic where Vulcan and Earth are in a cold war, Spock experiences ponfarr and uses Kirk

Looking for a long fic, well written, where Kirk is captured but a vulcan vessel and is horribly abused by Spock during his Ponfarr. Later, Kirk is given captaincy of the Enterprise (there are 12 new ships) but all the starfleet staff have to work with vulcans and Spock cheats so that he is selected to be Kirks new First Officer. Spock tries to make up for what he did.
