Spock centric fic

Hi all

I'm looking for a fic where Spock, Sulu, Chevok and a red shirt(?) were hostages of some alien race that never saw a Vulcan before.

They were experimenting on Spock, at his insistence that they dont touch his crew, and would only release them if Spock was able to stand after extensive damage to his body.

Can you help me find this fic please? I cant recall much more beyond Spock passing out on the Enterprise after the rescue.
