Anyway, I'm new here -- hello! I was pretty excited to find this community.

Anyway, my request is fairly general actually and sorta in two parts.
First I was wondering if anyone could recommend good sources to learn about "Vulcan kissing" and other such hand involved shenanigans. I have seen Search for Spock, which was my first experience with the whole... ritualistic kissing(??) but i was wondering if there were other really good sources with demonstration or describe the intricacies of Vulcan intimacy. I'm looking for episode recs, star trek novels, even online resources ( I am familiar with Memory Alpha -- a wonderful source). I'm just very curious about this "alternative" means of intimacy, especially as of late :3

On that note, my second request is for some feisty/sexy/tender/all-around-breathtaking.inspiring hand centric fics. I have absolutely no preference for which universe, though I do prefer kirk/spock fics; I am entirely open to read any sort of story with a Vulcan character (Tuvok, T'Pol, etc)  that features well written and uhh "informative" hand scenes. PWP, Plotty, Fluff, Angst -- I would be happy to read any and all.

The 'hand kiss' was first introduced in the TOS episode "Journey to Babel" featuring Sarek and Amanda. It appears briefly in other episodes, but for on-screen stuff III is the best you're going to get. (Star Trek being a network show designed for prime time, and all.) There's not much more than that in the official books. There's some general stuff about Pon Farr in a couple places, but nothing that I know of specifically about the hand gesture.

For the second request, you might try Holding Hands (http://www.geocities.com/saavaant/holdhands.htm) by Saavant. It's short and to the point. A K/S hand kiss, PWP if you will.

The TOS episode "The Enterprise Incident" has some pretty prolonged hand-on-hand action between Spock and the Romulan commander, but there's not much by way of explanation there if memory serves. I don't think it has the specific Vulcan gesture at all - it's more of a demonstration of Vulcan/Romulan intimacy I guess?
