Reboot continuation fic?

Hi, I'm looking for a continuation fic of the movie which due to bookmarking fail I can't find. I remember that it was very long and had several very good realistic pictures of each of the individual characters (maybe around twenty).  

It is set around the new Vulcan colony. Basically, because of population issues, bonds between Vulcans and non Vulcans are forced to be broken, leading the non Vulcans in varying catatonic states. Politicking and possible severance with the Federation with this issue comes up. Spock is a central character, but I can't remember if there was a specific pairing, but it might have been K/S, and I am fairly sure Spock fights with Sarek over the issue. A subplot involves a character named Melody (human with a severed bond) and a Vulcan healer who is in love with her and would do anything for her.  

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any help would be much appreciated!
