Hi all. I'm here because, while I've been a Star Trek fan practical since the womb, I've never participated in Star Trek fandom. A decided to fix that week or so ago, when I got a craving for good old 1960s TOS Trek, and decided to go looking for fic. This seems to have been in line with deciding to eat an elephant. There is fic galore, but I don't know where to start.

Can you folk tell me what are/direct me to a list of TOS fics that I absolute must read? You know, the classics that everyone knows and trope/cliche fics that demonstrate why those tropes are so awesome.

I'm focusing in TOS right now. Beyond that, I'll read just about anything, and I know how to use the back button for the rare few I won't.
