I don't know a fic where anyone takes McCoy to task for his racism, but I once wrote a fic where (after The Voyage Home) he goes to Spock and apologizes for it: All the Difference. "We like to think we're so much better than our ancestors, that we've got all these problems of bigotry and intolerance licked, and we go out into space to spread our enlightened ways, and end up making the same mistakes."
