Mind meld or Jim's family

I know that both of these are probably very common request but you'll have to excuse the newbie.

As you can tell I have two request:

1) Anything where Jim has a bad reaction to the mind meld in XI. Like he's having trouble dealing with the things he saw. Something.

and

2) Anything with Jim's family. Anything at all. I'd like it to be set during the time of XI though. I'm trying to think of an example but I can only think of the fic Home by Lanaea on ff.net (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5071703/1/Home) It's a really brillant fic and Spock and Kirk go to see Kirk's mother. Something like that.

as for any other requirements. Well, I prefer Spock/Kirk, but gen will work also and as you can tell I like XI. : )
