startrekficfinderHello! I'm going on a bit of a Star Trek binge recently, re-reading my favorite fics after a number of years. Unfortunately, I didn't save any of them, and I'm having trouble hunting down these down. Any help would be really appreciated!
In the first fic, Coy is in a hospital or hospice (or a sickbay, maybe. He's somewhere getting medical attention at any rate) and being his lovable, irascible self and a terrible patient. He knows that he's dying, but he's holding on to see on last time (Jim's already dead). does indeed come to see him, and passes while he's there. I believe they talked about Katras, but I'm not sure what happened to that end. This might be gen, spock/mccoy, or spock/kirk/mccoy. Helpful, I know :(
The second fic is /Coy. I read it years ago, and my details are pretty sketchy. Sorry! It may or may not be Mirror!verse. They may or may not be headed to Vulcan. But whatever the case, and Coy are aboard a ship with other vulcans and for some reason, Coy is forced to take command of the ship, I think during battle. The other vulcans thought his maneuvers were illogical at first, but he impressed them by the end. This may just be a small part of the story and not the main focus of the fic. (actually while were on the subject, could anyone rec any fic with McCoy taking command? I've read the novel 'Doctor's Orders' and I kind of really love the concept.)
And just to throw it out there, though I doubt I'll ever find this one and my details are practically nonexistent....there's a fic where Coy on Vulcan to help sort
out his memories after the fal-tor-pan. At some point, performs a mind meld, and coy comes to lying on a bed having fallen or been put to sleep. takes his boots off for him...weird thing to remember, I know, but honestly it's all I've got to on.
