 All I remember is one scene in which Kirk is sick and is in his room replaying his father's last battle, stopping and restarting the action over and over again in an effort to find a way that George Kirk could have lived.  Spock finds him doing this and realizes that Jim Kirk has been fighting the Kobayashi Maru his entire life.  It may be a K/S story, I don't remember.
