I can't find this fic to save my life!

So Q shows up and messes with Kirk's brain making him think that McCoy never existed, Jim outsmarts him and there is a showdown on the Enterprise where Q makes Jim choose between McCoy and the 800 lives on the ship.

2. Any backstory fics, Reboot or TOS, about any characters. I've read a ton about Reboot Kirk, and a few about Reboot Spock, but not so much about anyone else. I'm especially interested in Chekov, Amanda Grayson, and TOS Kirk, especially if they're not solely about Tarsus IV. The fics can be fully gen, or contain het or slash.

3. Any fics that explore the differences in alien cultures.

I remember reading a reboot fic a little while ago in which Spock!Prime visits the Enterprise and gets on very well with the crew, much to the distaste of nu!Spock who thinks it's inappropriate and unbecoming of a Vulcan. I seem to recall that Prime's behaviour with Kirk and McCoy is especially frowned upon, but Prime's response when chastised is rather: "Bitch, please. These are my BFFs who I've not seen for a century. Go DIAF."

Unfortunately I can't remember who wrote it or what it's called or even if it was for a kink meme or whether it was gen or K/Mc (or S/U), so any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I recently read Chase820's fabulous Reboot story Secret Vulcan Mating Rituals (still a WIP, alas), in which Spock's penis is barbed, like a cat's, and I've been wondering whether that appears in TOS fanfic as well. I've seen Vulcans made into descendants of felines in TOS fanfic several times, but I can't recall any TOS examples for cat-like penis details going along with this. I've seen many instances of the notorious double ridges, and I have seen a couple of more alien configurations, like tentacles and such for Spock's genitalia in TOS fic now and then, but I can't think of any cat-like penises.

So are there any such stories in TOS? (I'd take more examples for it in Reboot as well.)

 Hi! I'm looking for this AU fic that was based on the Secretary movie, the one with Maggie Gyllenhaal. It was Kirk/Spock, Kirk was Spock's assistant. I enjoyed it, a lot. It was still incomplete, though.
