Reboot: Kirk/McCoy, Sulu/Chekov, RPS-- general requests

This is a bit of a mix bag, I hope you don't mind. Also, my first post here. I'm figuring it works the same way as the other comms like this, at least I hope! :) All are XI requests.

1) I have recently found the love that is Kirk/McCoy. I'm hoping you can help me find some must reads and fandom classics for them. I've only read a small handful in this pairing, so I really will take anything you can give me! Though, I am not yet big on kink with these two. Rough sex is all good, but please leave out the D/s kinda thing. lol. I'm good with anything from gen to NC-17. I do have a addiction to Academy era and character studies. If you could feed that addiction, I would love you endlessly.

2) My OTP is Sulu/Chekov. I know, I know, it's horrible and mock worthy to a lot of the people in this fandom. I don't care. lol. Anyway, I feel that I may have run my course with fics I have yet to read. Please, please, please! Rec me anything that you love. Because there is a chance I have not read it. A link to a rec list or an author is welcome! I have read just about everything by hollycomb. And if you got a stash of HS AU anywhere... *GRABBY HANDS* I am, as above, addicted to Academy era and character studies as well.

3) For the life of me I have had a hard time finding Karl/John or Chris/John fic. I have looked over the reboot_rpf comm. It just wasn't quite my style. Any rec's for those pairings? Have I missed something?

If I have done this wrong, please let me know! I'm still trying to navigate my way through this fandom. And as I normally have someone to teach me what to do... I'm having to learn all on my own as my flist isn't into Star Trek. Wankers. lol. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Spock almost destorying the bond, but Jim protects it

Hey everyone,
Okay I'm not quite sure if it's the 09 movie or the orignal series fandom, it might be a crossover between the two. I remember Spock was talking to someone, his younger self? and he was talking about how he messed up and tried to do the ritual to erase his emotions only to realize there's a bond. And everyone time he tried, it was protected, and he realizes that it's Jim protecting the bond. But doesn't trust him later from harming the bond, and keeps up walls/shields to protect it.

I'm pretty sure it's finished. So if anyone knows, thanks in advance.


Edit: I found it. I knew if I retracted my steps, eventually it'll come. Over hundred stories, but ha! It was on FF.net, part of series, the incident I was talking about happens in two parts of the series. One in the original Jim's view. The other in Spock, who is talking to his younger self.

I just like to beat up on poor Jim <3 Anyways, I was looking for fics where Jim is in love with Bones or Spock but doesn't tell them for whatever reason (he doesn't think they like him back, he doesn't want to ruin friendship, whatever). Of course, eventually they find out=happiness!
