McCoy takes course Spock teaches

Because of a technical snafu, McCoy has to retake a course at the University in San Francisco Berkley before he can enter resume at Star Fleet Academy. He already took this course while becoming a doctor, but for some reason the records are missing. He works at the hospital for one semester while taking this course which is taught by a young Spock (still living with his parents young, I believe). The course is very challenging and McCoy loves it. During this semester they slowly become closer and it ends up Spock/McCoy. The next semester Spock starts teaching at Star Fleet Academy. I want to say that this is reboot, because I think McCoy and Kirk are already friends like in the reboot verse. But it could be a complete AU too.
