Hello,
I'm searching for a story where Enterprise was ordered to help with plague (or sth similar). Bridge crew was surprised when Kirk wanted to go there as fast as possible, he ordered Checov to plot better course and asked Scotty to give more power to engines (more that they could manage in theory). Every body was worried about Captain, but it turned out if not for his decisions they could be too late.
Ring any bell?

I can't remember which story that is, exactly, although I know I've read it. But shadowloverk has a pretty darn comprehensive (and up to date!) Tarsus fic list (http://shadowloverk.livejournal.com/4521.html) running on his/her website, so if no one else remembers the exact story, you can almost certainly find it somewhere in the stack. And hey, the list's worth checking out anyway since it is so comprehensive. :-)
