How about Terminal Point (http://posyvanilla.dreamwidth.org/12623.html)? It's a good 28K and one of my favorites.

Oh! Have you read Only Good For Legends (http://leupagus.dreamwidth.org/tag/vulcan+detectives+do+it+in+a+fedora)? I'd have to add up the word count from each chapter, but, trust me, it's a lot :D
