McCoy being a goddamn Hero

Just been watching a few episode of TOS, and have noticed that Spock and Bones are practically married! They make me think of my parents the way they interact.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me find some fics based around the episode of Empath. Spock/Bones obviously, more like aftermath fics as opposed to missing scenes, and any other fics that are like it, you know, where Bone's gives himself up to protect spock, or another member of the crew, or prehaps he just gets hurt, kidnapped, whatever really... and lots of fluff H/C to follow whatever nasties are done to him.

Happy ending essential, I do hate being depressed when I finish a fic.

Long fics if possible, though anything over 1000 words I will happily read!

TOS series, no reboot stuff please, i'd like o read their adorable bickering as is detailed in the original.

I'm working my though all the fics on fanfiction.net, so fics from other sites would be appreciated.

TOS Spock and Bones are my OTP, and I adore them.

I know there are a couple o fpost-Empath fics out there, although I don't have them bookmarked.

McCoy heals Spock, who has been rescued but was brutally tortured. Their romance evolves over the course of Spock's recovery.

This fic has very much the feel of an episode, but is Spock/McCoy focussed. It's a gen fic--Spock and McCoy are trapped under a collapsed building after an earthquake.

It's funny! I just finished watching that episode. And Spock's obvious concern for McCoy was just aweness. And Kirk's teasing of Spock at the end about him revieling some news like he knows something we don't. Guh. Funny how Jim is always teasing them about their bickering you know and is always present during their more emotional argument scenes. Makes me think William Shatner might be a bit of a Spones fan himself. Anyway.
