Captaincy = Angst

I'm looking for any reboot fics about Jim having to deal with the darker or more 'unpleasant' aspects of captaincy.   And then angsting over it.  :)

Specifically, I'm looking for a reboot fic I remember reading where the Enterprise was trying to help a colony that was suffering some kind of plague.  The ship was orbiting the planet and trying to work on some kind of cure, but because the people were highly contagious they couldn't beam down or bring anyone up.  Kirk is forced to destroy an escape shuttle the colony sends out in order to keep them from spreading the disease further.  I remember he made the rest of the crew leave the bridge first so that they wouldn't have to take part.
