Hello,
unfortunately I remember only one scene from a fic I'm looking for. Someone (Uhura if I remember correctly) saw picture of Amanda in Spock's quarter. It turned out to be painting made by Kirk.

I don't know that one, but there is a 5 + 1 story, which has a scene where Jim gives Spock a drawing he made of Spock's mother because he knows Spock doesn't have any photos of her. It's called Between the Lines (http://moogsthewriter.livejournal.com/75438.html#cutid1) by moogsthewriter.

I love 'Between the Lines' ^^ To be honest this fic reminded me of the one I'm looking for. Somehow I really do like Jim as an artist XD
