Rec me the best stories you've read in Reboot for capturing Spock in character as an alien and as a Vulcan - not just a human with pointy ears. THANK YOU!
If you ask me, the person who has reboot Spock really down pat in this fandom is seperis, as evidenced by her story Reboot Duo Series (http://archiveofourown.org/series/2522), and Repeat Offender (http://archiveofourown.org/works/22599) tells me she has Kirk down pat too.
Of course there are quite a few other people whose Spock characterisation I love and adore, but from your request, I'm assuming you want more serious than humour stories, so yes, this is what comes to my mind first, since, as serious stories go, that one was one of the fanfics that hooked me into this fandom in the first place. And if I had to choose off the top of my head which Spock sounds like the one we saw in the movie, I'd point to the Spock in this story.
Other than that, I also loved the Spock characterisation in: Evolution by rhaegal (http://rhaegal.dreamwidth.org/tag/fic:evolution), Gravitational Forces by scy (http://archiveofourown.org/works/42556?view_adult=true), Refractions by bigmamag (archiveofourown.org/works/33631).
Then there's Tangled Destinies by Keira Marcos (http://keiramarcos.com/star-trek/tangled-destinies-ks/), which places a rather big emphasis on what being a telepath (Vulcan and Betazoid) as well as bonding means (but the focus is, naturally, purely the sappy romance), so perhaps it could be your cup of tea. (Though her stories usually suffer from "everyone is gay or at least bi and ridiculously powerful" syndrome, her characterisations are usually fun. Badass Amanda and Sarek being only some of them. It's mostly a case of "Your Mileage May Vary".)
