Hey, I've been revisiting some of my favourite Pon Farr fic lately, and I've been hit with a craving. I don't know whether the stories that address this exist, but I'd love it if they were, and thought I'd give it a shot asking.
(1) Kirk and Spock are in an established relationship, and they're prepared for Pon Farr. Either it's the first or their second or in some distant future, but what matters is that they're ready for it.
(2) Kirk/Spock fic (either first time or established), where Spock gets into Pon Farr when he's not around Kirk, and how they deal with that.

Date: 2010-12-30 01:01 am (UTC)Now, a few serious estab-rel ones I remember out of those:
What Makes Thee Human by K Chaps (http://ksarchive.com/viewstory.php?sid=852&index=1): Probably one of the most serious stories about Pon Farr, ever. Established Rel.
[Jim:] "It‛s just sex!"
[McCoy:] "No, it‛s not, you fool! It‛s ritual, sacrifice, and a host of other things that could kill you if you aren‛t careful!"
A Question of Honour by Ray Newton (http://www.ksarchive.com/viewstory.php?sid=568&index=1): Summary: Series Romulans were much more honourable than the Klingons. // ...And here's the reason why. (Warnings: torture, attempted non-con) Estab. Rel. Spock is in Pon Farr during captivity, and his state is used (or at least they try to) to the amusement of the Klingons.
A Point of Law by Ray Newton (http://www.ksarchive.com/viewstory.php?sid=566&index=1): Summary: Don't jump to conclusions. // And yet, that is exactly what happens. Spock's third Pon Farr has unfortunate consequences when it happens on an alien planet and there's a little cultural miscommunication.
Till It Be Morrow by Ray Newton (http://www.ksarchive.com/viewstory.php?sid=577&index=1): Mostly a pwp, but the main point is how Pon Farr could be handled: This was no dutiful performance of a distasteful necessity, which was all Spock could have expected from a Vulcan woman. This was love and total commitment, Kirk's unique and very special proof of his complete acceptance and trust. Jim and Spock are apart when Pon Farr first strikes Spock, and it's pure chance that Jim is there at the last minute almost.
Oh, and these four are TOS Universe stories.

Hope it helps. :)
