Kirk/Bones- With Bones messing up?

I'm looking for any kind of Kirk/Bones stories, where it's Bones that makes the mistake, and screws things up. So often it seems like Kirk is the one messing up, or having to play catch up, and Bones is the injured party. Even if Bones messes up, it always seems like Kirk is very easy to forgive, but when it's the other way around, Bones makes Kirk leap through some hoops first.

I'd love to read some stories where it is the other way around. It's be brilliant if Bones didn't realise at first what he had done, and the crew had to try and make him understand, and then of course he has to apologise.
Kirk is often played as the kid who has no idea about any type of relationship, but I like my Kirk smart.

Any recs, no matter the rating, would be great,  academy or later on the ship, although I would prefer if it was Reboot rather than TOS. It can be pre-slash, just friendship, or even just implied, though I wouldn't turn down something higher rated!
I just want Bones to be the one to mess up, not Kirk, and have to realise it.
