Dunno if this is really out there but just banking on the largeness and the epicness of this fandom to fulfil this request My imagination wanders....Ok here goes!

Any fic preferably nu!Kirk and Spock (2009) but will take oldschool kirk and spock where:

-the federation engages in full on war  or gets in the crossfire of a conflict where photons and torpedoes are engaged!

-the federation has lost a major battle and the enterprise is the only thing keeping it from losing a full on war

-the enterprise encounters Q or the caretaker(voyager!) and is sent off to encounter the borg or off to some distant part of space to really fend for itself (voyager again).

Kirk/spock would be my pairing of choice and I know I have left this very open but any fics where the ship's crew are up against it or to borrow an unfitting metaphor for star trek, it's them against the world-that would be the feeling I am going for in these fics. I would love any fics where the trio (kirk, spock and Mccoy)have to figure out strategies and kirk and spock have to really work on plans.

Also would like the majority of the action to happen on the enterprise rather than planet bound or on an enemy vessel.

If anyone knows of any fics like this, I would be grateful!
