So I'm looking for 2 K/S fics...

1. So K/S are in a relationship and are having happy!blissful!sex in their quarters when Admiral Komack barges in and court-martials them for either breaking fraternization regs or maybe some form of a futuristic Don't Ask Don't Tell policy. They end up living on Vulcan and aquire a Vulcan ship, where life ends up being awesomesauce for them. Does it sound familiar to anyone?



2. So I only remember one thing specifically about this fic. I think Kirk is angsting over whether he should reveal to Spock his feelings. Spock tells Kirk an anecdote of sorts. Where a dehydrated man is wandering through a desert, and he finds a river at the bottom of a cliff he's standing on. So, what does he do? He could jump, but the jump could kill him. It was a beautifully crafted extended metaphor for falling in love. Does it ring any bells?

The first is the first story in a really great trilogy by Elise Madrid, Evolving Toward Forever (http://ksarchive.com/viewseries.php?seriesid=1). She's got other really great stories - I highly recommend Family Matters and Storm Tossed, too, among others.

So your second fic is ringing lots of bells, but none in a key I can hit. Do you have any idea about how the author sumerized it? Because I'm fairly certain I read this in the K/S Archive. The bad news is that I got very sick a few months ago and read just about every finished story in the K/S Archive starting with A to Z, and ending with Other.

But it is over there... somewhere.
