It was an AU where McCoy was the Only Sane Person in a small crew that consisted of Uhura, her bodyguard Spock and their very broken, slightly telepathic Jim. the terrible trio decided to disrupt the universe and make it something closer to what Spock Prime lived; it was completely AU,
And then at the end, I vaguely remember McCoy is getting on the Starfleet ship and is very confused about shiny!Jim and prim!Uhura,
