Kirk / McCoy - emergency shuttle evacuation

Hello all.

I am looking for a relatively short story I read quite a while ago in which Jim and Bones are leaving a planet in a shuttlecraft to rendezvous with the Enterprise. Jim is piloting, Bones is the (nervous) passanger. Shortly after taking off, there are a series of malfunctions that force them to put on space suits and evacuate the shuttle, which explodes seconds after.

It turns out the explosion is actually the result of an attempt on their lives by some disgruntled inhabitants of the planet who are not happy with the results of the meetings.

The story does not focus on the how's and why's of the shuttle explosion, but rather, Bones' reaction to being so violently thrust into his worst nightmare and how Jim helps him manage before they can be retrieved.

I don't remember the title of this story, or the author, but I'm fairly certain it was posted to the kirk_mccoy community at some point.
