Anyway, I hope you can help me, I'm after something simple.

I agree with the above link whole heartedly. The author has another fic where Jim hides/ignores several injuries called Atlas. It's an excellent story, and the H/C is rampant (in the best way), but it's quite long, and I'd suggest reading her author's notes on the first chapter for the list of warnings. Other fics I can think of are:

Symptoms of Fatigue: It's a WIP, and hasn't been updated in a while, but totally worth reading in it's current form. It's not short, nor is it super long (yet!), but it involves the aftermath of the movie, including the multiple chokings, the beasts on Delta Vega, and the fact everyone's been up for a while, as well as the trek back home, and dealing in general.
