Protective Bones, kirk/bones

Bones called spock into his office or quarters or something after the STXI. He talked to him for a moment, then 'injected' something into him that made him tell the truth or feel everything to the most, and paralyzed him. He had him on the floor telling him about how if Jim had died it would have been terrible and heartbreaking and asked him how he would feel if he had killed Uhura, like he had sentenced jim to certain death on Delta Vega. Spock knows how it feels, he doesn't say anything, and at the end Bones says, oh yeah i didn't inject that truth serum in you, that was you feeling something.
and then kirk came in and was like 'whats up?' and bones is like 'we understand each other more' or something like this.
help would be greatly appreciated.
