I remember a reboot high school AU where Spock is on Earth. He defends Kirk from a bully. I remember the bully becoming creepily aggressive with Spock only to back off when Spock becomes emotional. I think I remember the fic was long, unfortunately, I forgot to bookmark it.

Thank you for trying, but I don't think that is it. I might have gotten the part about Spock threatening the bully from that fic, though. Maybe I'm mixing up two stories?

Bummer, I thought it was a long shot but it's the only one I remember with Spock + bully. Hope you find it!

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Livejournal did not send me a notification. I don't have an account on delicious. I always meant to create one, but if I don't write myself a post-it to do something, I inevitably forget to. Your account is absolutely fabulous. I spent about two days just going through it. (Does that sound as super creepy as I think it does?)

I'm going to re-read Tangled Destinies. It might still be the fic I was looking for considering I glanced over it while operating on two hours of sleep and no caffeine intake. :)

No, not super creepy at all. I lurked *for years* before I actually interacted with anyone or had a public delicious. I'm very flattered.

It's possible it's Tangled Destinies. Spock gets into a verbal confrontation with a bully (Rob David) after he pokes fun at Jim for being involved with Starfleet publicity about his father. Later, there's something about Jim losing his mental shields at school, and Spock gets really protective, but I can't remember if the bully was involved in that part. Whoops, just re-read that section and it's Spock that loses his shields after a teacher touches him, and Jim that gets protective. D'oh!

I am pretty sure the fic you are looking for is Rumors by JSS found here http://ksarchive.com/viewstory.php?sid=2034&warning=1 Spock and kirk are in high school together and eventually start dating there is a bully who picks on Spock for being gay (I think) and eventually threatens him till with a knife... I think this is the one you are looking for if not it is a good read =)
