Fic Where McCoy Doesn't Get Assigned to the Enterprise...

While I am normally pretty savvy at searching The Internets, my google smarts have utterly deserted me. I'm looking for a multi-part AOS Kirk/McCoy fic where McCoy is assigned to a different ship as his punishment (I think) for smuggling Kirk aboard the Enterprise prior to the attack on Vulcan. If I recall correctly, Kirk gets mad at him for not responding to his Christmas present, and his med staff on the new ship are somehow in cahoots with some of the Enterprise folks to ensure the course of true love goes smoothly. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I've been through the big bang sites, and the holiday sites, and I just can't find it (or I missed it). Help! It was charming.
