startrekficfinderHi everyone! I'm looking for this fic I read ages ago. It's yes, prostitute!Kirk but has a heavy dose of political intrigue mixed up in the plotline too. Kirk/Spock and I think it may have been vaguely AU? I want to say reboot, but I'm not entirely sure.
Um, so Vulcan is thinking about seceding from the Federation. Spock, who is a leader of the secession movement, comes to earth to figure out his roots or find redeeming qualities to humans or something. So he meets rentboy!kirk (without knowing he's a rentboy I think) and gets him to show Spock around and teach him some stuff about humans. So blah blah blah, they fall in love and then there are complications because of yeah, secession from the Federation and Spock gives this moving speech at the end that had the public speaker in me seriously moved to tears. Does this ring any bells?
