Pike as Captain

This may sound far out, but are there any stories out there where Pike isn't injured so badly by Nero and therefore goes on the captain The Enterprise as planned, maybe with both Spock and Kirk as members of his crew?

Summary: Pike wasn’t paralyzed by Nero’s slug. As such, he took command of the Enterprise as scheduled and brought James. T. Kirk along as his Chief of Security. When the Enterprise is ordered to investigate an outpost’s sudden radio silence, they get caught between a rock and a hard place. The outpost scientists are missing and the only ones who seem to have any clue of what’s going on are the Cardassians, a new species and the local powerhouse.
