Hope I'm posting this right...

I'm looking for a specific fic where Kirk bonds with a young vulcan kid.  Think it was Spirk pairing in the end too.
Um, there might have been something about the child was on a ship where everyone else died and he just latched onto Kirk.  I seem to recall something about Kirk sensing the kids emotions and often carrying him around.
