Eventual Spock/Kirk but Spock is still with Uhura

I just read a fic. It wasn't too long, just a few chapters. I want to read it again but cannot find it. The summary was something like "Jim is slowly falling in love with his first officer, but Spock is still with Uhura." Initially, Kirk asks Spock to spar/play chess etc., but he refuses. Finally, they start playing chess, and Kirk falls in love with him. Spock asks Uhura to marry him and Kirk is upset, then is accidentally transported to a universe where Spock and Kirk were together but Kirk was killed. They have sex, then Kirk is able to return home and he and Spock get together.

I think I can add a few more details, there's an ion storm which switches Jim and a crew member from the alternative universe. In that universe Spock is the captain, and Jim was his first officer and science officer. I think they more or less grew up together, and they were bonded for some time.

At first I though Amanda Warrington or Kyliselle, but I can't find the story on either of their pages, I'll keep looking though.

I read that on LJ, and I have been going through both verizonhorizon and littlebirdtold, and can't find it.

The one I am thinking of has Spock resigning from Starfleet in order to stay and try to get Jim back, when he succeeds they go back to a flat that the local governor has offered Spock, communal living, and Jim sort of blurts out that he loves Spock and wish that he had stayed because at least he was wanted in the other universe. Of course Spock isn't stupid, so he admits that he stayed behind to get Jim back because he is also in love with him. Happy ending!
