I'm thinking is TOS, but i could be wrong. All i remember clearly is Jim and Spock are bonded, and after Spock dies, Kirk starting screaming in Vulcan, something along the lines of 'it is empty, broken' referring to his broken bond with Spock.

Sorry for so little info to go on, but i'd love to read this fic again :)
