startrekficfinderAll I can remember about this novel-length story is that is was Spock/Kirk, and Ambassador Spock played a big role in it. Jim and Spock Prime Mind Melded a couple of times during the story which Spock obviously wasn't happy about. I can't remember if Spock Prime was trying to play matchmaker, or if he was just satisfying Jim's curiosity about the other universe Spock Prime comes from/Kirk Prime.
Long story short, Jim realizes he and Spock have been Vulcan kissing the whole time, which has its own set of issues because he's not sure if he genuinely cares for Spock, or if it's residual feeling from the Mind Melds he shared with Spock Prime. When Spock Prime is about to leave, Jim knowingly uses his fingers to Vulcan kiss Spock Prime which both heartens and saddens the older Spock.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?
