startrekficfinderSo I've been trying to re-find this fic for awhile now, but apparently my fic-finding skills are pretty poor or I'm getting keywords mixed up or I'm combining stories because no luck so far. Time to take it to the masters!
Here's what I (think I) remember. It a fantasy/supernatural AU that starts out with Bones leaving a party ( I think set up by his family to find a wife) and wandering from his gardens into some woods. He's talking to a friendly fairy or spirit of some sort (she's not important to the plot really, just giving details) who's becoming increasingly upset, because tonight "is the night of the hunt" or "the hunter is coming" or something like that. Surprise, surprise, the "hunter" is not-human!Jim leading a pack of not-human men. On that night every living thing must either join in the hunt or be hunted, so Jim sweeps Bones up along with him. Bones quickly gets caught up in the spirit of the hunt, literally possessed with blood-lust. They get to killing, and then to sexing, and then the night is over and Bones wakes up alone and sane on the forest floor. I'm pretty sure the story continues from there, and they meet up again, and it's all much lighter, but I'm not 100%. There may or may not be a sequel. I thought it might be one of ennyousai's fics- apparently not, but it's possible that I might be mixing up some story elements with some of her fics.
I'm hoping you all can help- it's a really good fic and I'd love to read it again!
