I don't remember much, but I do remember the enterprise was on a mission that dealt with detaining this man who was raping children and Kirk has to step down as captain citing that he was emotionally compromised. I don't remember if it was from tarsus or his step father or some random guy :/ It's killing me that I can't find it anywhere and any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I'm thinking this was a fic from an earlier search. If I remember correctly, it's a fic where Spock is informed he has a son (tprings) and because he was abused as a child kirk has some issues, but decides to help spock raise the child anyway? Or else, I'm way off track and have no idea of which I speak, in which case I apologise in advance ;)
